Karen Zusman
Karen Zusman is an award-winning copywriter, poet and journalist. She was a senior staff writer at Aveda from 2004-2007 when she left to work as lead creative/head writer for Aveda founder Horst Rechelbacher’s new organic health and beauty company, Intelligent Nutrients. She left Intelligent Nutrients in late 2008. Prior to becoming a staff writer at Aveda, Karen worked as a copywriter both freelance and as a staff writer for Agile Industries. Her client roster for copywriting services includes: Gillette, MoMA Design Store, Coke, MSNBC, Bumble&Bumble, Prudential Financial, Amex, AT&T, The German Embassy and many others. Karen holds an MFA from The Columbia University Graduate Writing Program. She is the recipient of many artist fellowships and awards for her poetry. For details and resume. (link)

James Kennedy
James Kennedy is a brooklyn based industrial, graphic and web designer. After working for several years as a design consultant for Aveda he founded Envelope LLC where he has been a design and product development specialist for beauty and wellness brands including Intelligent Nutrients, Burt's Bees, Dove, Johnson & Johnson and Fontainebleau Hotel. His prior agency experience includes working on projects for Nike, Pepsi, Unilever, P&G, Gerber, Tropicana, Lipton and Oxo.
James has been a professor for design communications at NYU and Parsons as well as publishing trend reports on Tokyo, Bangkok and New York. Packaging Design:
